When Peter from Epping, NSW, upgraded to an Emerald Hot Water Heat Pump Split System, he didn’t just reduce his energy consumption—he achieved a 75.5% reduction in his hot water electricity costs, turning his home into an energy efficient haven.

Project overview:
A smarter way to heat water

Peter’s old electric resistance water heater was costly to run and inefficient. Looking for a way to cut costs and save energy, Peter installed an Emerald 200L split system heat pump.  The system was connected to a dedicated off-peak circuit, allowing him to heat water during low-cost electricity hours, significantly reducing his bills.

Actions taken:
Installing an energy efficient hot water heat pump

After replacing his outdated water heater, Peter’s Emerald heat pump was set to run during off-peak hours. By taking advantage of lower electricity rates, Peter reduced his energy costs while enjoying a constant supply of hot water.

His 200L heat pump provides ample water for daily use, all while consuming just a fraction of the energy compared to his previous system.
